General information

PROPOSITION

The Sokol Run of the Republic in Prague will take place in the format of a BIG RACE. This means that the time will be measured by a professional timekeeper. The organizers will then award the fastest runners at the finish line. And what will you get from the organizers? Everyone will pick up their race packet with their start number and other gifts from the organizers and partners at the backstretch, and a beautiful republic-shaped medal awaits everyone at the finish line.

Runners can look forward to the backstage area in Tyršův dům, where the entire supporting programme will take place. Various sporting and non-sporting activities will be prepared for children. Adult runners will also find something to do. The route of the main race leads through Petřínské sady, where runners will find not only beautiful views of Prague but also surprise spots around the route. Children's categories will run on a flat route in Kampa Park.

Main race

➤ Adults 6,5 km

The main race starts with the runners leaving the Tyršův dům together to the starting point, which is located in Hellichova Street (about 400 m). Participants can enjoy the run to the Kinsky Letohrádek, thanks to many serpentines they can enjoy views of Prague from every angle. They will also pass the Hunger Wall, the cable car to Petřín and the Petřín Lookout Tower. After entering the Great Strahov Garden, the runners will have a view of Prague Castle. Then it's just a beautiful long run back to the starting point. The entire route is 6.5 km long, mostly on asphalt. There is a surprise accompanying programme along the route, which will surely motivate the runners to do their best. The route is suitable for experienced runners and amateurs who want to enjoy the atmosphere of the Sokol Run of the Republic and celebrate the establishment of the Republic through movement.

Children race

➤ 800 m - years of birth 2010 - 2013

The start of the race is in the Tyršův dům. The children run through Kampa Park for one longer lap and back to Tyršův dům to the finish. A bike rider will ride in front of the children. The route is on paved, mostly asphalt roads.

➤ 400 m - years of birth 2014 - 2019

The start of the race is in the Tyršův dům. The children run through Kampa Park one shorter circuit and back to Tyršův dům to the finish. A bike rider will ride in front of the children. The route is on paved, mostly asphalt roads.

➤ 100 m - years of birth 2020 and younger

Accompanying program

There will be an accompanying programme in the background of the race, which is intended for everyone, regardless of whether they participate in the race or not. We are still working out the details, but it is already certain that you have something to look forward to.

There will be a raffle for runners to win valuable prizes after the winners are announced.

Facilities for runners

Tyršův dům; Újezd 450/40, Malá Strana, Praha 1

There will be a storage room, changing rooms and toilets in the Tyršův dům.

Parking and transport

There is no parking available at the race site. If you arrive by car, we recommend parking at the Anděl shopping centre and taking the tram to the Hellichova tram stop (4 stops).

The nearest tram stop is Hellichova, which is located right in front of the Tyršův dům.
