RACE INFORMATION
General information
The Pittsburgh Sokol Run of the Republic will take place in the format of a RUN. This means that the finish time is not measured and the results list with the order of the runners is not created either. It's really about running for fun without racing. And what will you get from the organizers? In the background, everyone will pick up their start package with a start number and other gifts from the organizers and partners, and at the finish line everyone will receive a beautiful medal in the shape of the republic.
Main race
➤ Adults 5 km
The start and finish of the race are at the Oval Shelter pavilion. The route follows 1.5 laps along the outer perimeter of the Schenley Park oval on a gravel path, then turns right onto a forest trail and continues on a grassy surface alongside the path. This loop is repeated twice.
Children race
➤ 1 km
The start and finish of the race are at the Oval Shelter pavilion. The route continues along the outer perimeter of the Schenley Park oval on a gravel path and forms a single loop.
Accompanying program
Picnic for participants of the Sokol Run of the Republic and all supporters of the Czech and Slovak School in Pittsburgh.
Facilities for runners
Refreshments will be provided for participants.
